His approach is always to explain concepts from multiple angles and aid understanding by breaking down problems into smaller ones. Rather than simply lecturing, his teaching style involves guiding students by asking them directed questions.
In addition to teaching courses, he has also worked with Kaplan as a GRE instructor for over three years. He has helped over 100 students prepare for and excel in the GRE. He has also successfully guided many students through the college and graduate admissions process. Besides mathematics, Shahnawaz has also taught physics and computer science to high school students as a private tutor.
With his extensive teaching experience, Shahnawaz understands that every student has a unique set of needs. He is able to cater to each student by tailoring the lesson specific to them. He is also aware of the struggles students face during the admissions process and is eager to use his own personal experiences to help others get into their dream school or program.
