Trevor McKoy graduated from The University of Washington-Seattle with a degree in Biology. As an undergraduate student, Trevor was very involved on campus, he was the Co-Founder for an organization called Students Affecting Change which was aimed to help fellow students develop stronger professional relationships and experience within the healthcare field.
In addition, he was the National Pre-Medical Undergraduate Representative for the Student National Medical Association (SNMA). Trevor also worked as a STEM tutor, helping students master Chemistry, Biology and Anatomy. During the summer of 2015, Trevor traveled to Zambia, where he worked in the local clinics. This experience was pivotal in facilitating his passion and curiosity in the field of Medicine.
After Trevor graduated from the University of Washington, he attended Touro Medical College in New York City earning his Master’s degree in Biomedical Science and finished top of his class. During his time at Touro Medical College he served as a mentor for prospective high school students whose goal was to eventually matriculate into a medical school. After earning his Master’s he took the MCAT and was granted acceptance into Wright State University School of Medicine where he attends as a first year medical student.
Trevor has a plethora of experience and passion with tutoring/mentoring and understands every student learns differently. His goals are to help students develop their individual strengths and to “learn how to learn.” In his free time, Trevor enjoys playing basketball, running and going to music festivals and art galleries.
